Deck used in a limited pool Dunwich Legacy campaign with 3 players (Daisy Walker, Carolyn Fern and "Ashcan" Pete).

Slot redundancy was cut to a minimum to increase mid-late game deck efficiency while increasing early game card variety and skill presence. Only one In the Thick of It was available for the party, so an analysis on a 3 XP start was not conducted.

The deck focuses on investigating while digging for select cards for any investigator with Old Book of Lore and Scroll of Secrets. Forbidden Tome provides extra draw while, at 2 copies, maximizing the chances of an early translation, as the deck should not have issues maintaining a large hand size for the upgraded version's action cost reduction to go down to a maximum of 2. Non-tome hand slots are dedicated to Hawk-Eye Folding Camera, as Daisy herself can easily clean locations of clues, and the first 2 bonuses are highly relevant ( being central in resisting treacheries and being her main attribute), while obtaining the 3rd can be traded for better actions at the moment. Other Level 0 tomes like Encyclopedia or Medical Texts were not deemed to be worth the slot at their base levels when compared to the extra draw power for the party, especially in the earlier scenarios where maximizing victory points is key.

All arcane slots were dedicated to Arcane Enlightenment in order to allow for holding the maximum amount of tomes, which is planned to be the arcane cards used for the entire campaign.

No accessory cards were included as no Level 0 accessory was deemed worth the inclusion. If maximum encgame power is desired the best would probabli be Grisly Totem, but the high cost and fact most of her checks rely on her already very high make the card less valuable than other options.

Whitton Greene and Dr. Milan Christopher are meant as two viable mid-late game allies, with the first being best if drawn early but acceptable late due to the boost and 2 health, and the latter being an all-game draw engine. Redundancy was deemed acceptable as the deck can slot in Charisma, and both are acceptable allies well into the later scenarios. Research Librarian provides a tutor for Forbidden Tome to go for an early translation, or Old Book of Lore to secure a better position for the party, while then offering 1 health soak. Laboratory Assistant helps translate the Forbidden Tome due to the increased hand size and draw, while providing additional soak. As seeker lacks in good early healing, and the party runs little in terms of 1st scenario healing, multiple sources of soak were deemed acceptable.

Higher Education is a strong but not core asset that is free to play, and the hand requirement is easy to maintain. The and test symbols mean it's not a dead card if the opportunity to play it isn't present, or hand size is kept low.

Evade events were not focused over Fight events in "I've got a plan!" and Occult Invocation, both of which can easily 1-shot most enemies. If evasion is needed, "Ashcan" Pete can move into the room and engage the enemy, or, in an emergency, opportunity attacks can be taken due to the extra soak afforded by the large volume of disposable allies. Both Emergency Cache and Cryptic Writings were taken to help afford expensive key cards like Old Book of Lore, Dr. Milan Christopher/Whitton Greene and "I've got a plan!", and the latter was chosen over Burning the Midnight Oil due to the strong possibility for free playing due to the large volume of in-turn draw, and the extra symbol being deemed more useful if used as a skill.

For skills, Deduction is easy to succeed with due to her large base and boosts from Hawk-Eye Folding Camera, Dr. Milan Christopher/Whitton Greene and Higher Education. Guts helps her and allies succeed in treachery checks, and Perception boosts her Investigate actions and Fight events, while both act as cantrips.

Upgrades:

1st scenario - 5 experience earned:

+1 Professor Warren Rice - Reward for scenario completion, deemed to be best used in Daisy Walker's deck due to her making the best use of the +1 buff, and capability of easily triggering his condition.

+1 Charisma - A boost to the number of allies capable of being fielded, available for free at the start of the scenario, is deemed to be a good investment for a deck that already slotted 2 good Level 0 allies for mid-late game value, and just acquired an upgrade to one.

+1 Hiking Boots - Provides extra movement, as she already plans to empty locations of clues, and a +1 buff, which can be helpful in a clutch Evade action or skill check.

+1 Eon Chart - Provides a net positive gain of actions while improving their timing choices, thus overall improving the deck's action economy. Also acts as a stepping stone towards its later possible upgrade Eon Chart.

-1 Whitton Greene - Her role as a buffing ally that could provide health soak is fully replaced by Professor Warren Rice, who has 1 more sanity, costs 1 resource less, and whose drawing ability is far easier to trigger.

-1 Laboratory Assistant - An early game ally whose main role as a soak source and facilitator or translating the Forbidden Tome are deemed the least fundamental to the deck at this moment, as the hand size increase is already provided by Arcane Enlightenment, and the deck already packs a lot of drawing power.

2nd scenario - 6 experience earned:

+1 Forbidden Tome - The tome was translated this scenario, enabling the upgraded version to be taken. The only upgraded version the deck will use is the one that moves damage from an player card to an enemy, as this provides 1 heal and 1 damage without having to roll for checks. This is deemed to be worth the average 2 action cost, assuming this will be one of the main uses of her additional action when enemies need to be slain or damage healed. This was taken before the other desired end build tome, Prophesiae Profana, because this second tome's action is far more situational, the +1 is usually overkill in the earlier scenarios, and the +1 is generally going to come into play less frequently and in less stressful situations than the Forbidden Tome's action, as Daisy Walker's base is very low.

+1 Knowledge is Power - This card provides insane value for 0 resources, at Fast speed, and will be taken now over Bulletproof Vest in order to also take Survey the Area.

+1 Survey the Area - This skill ties with Perception for , but provides a whooping base , increased further with her multiple buffs. This helps her or her allies Evade dangerous enemies far more reliably than Prophesiae Profana ever could.

-1 Scroll of Secrets - While the card is excellent, it's impact at base level is relatively low in a deck that already provides immense draw, and cutting a Hand asset means, with Daisy's Tote Bag and both Arcane Enlightenment, she can hold every Hand asset in her deck simultaneously, meaning healing horror on The Necronomicon becomes unnecessary.

3rd scenario - 7 experience earned:

+1 The Necronomicon - This scenario reward is obviously best suited for Daisy Walker out of the 3 investigators in the party, and further reduces the need to rush Prophesiae Profana.

+1 Bulletproof Vest - As the only Body asset option for investigators that provides good health soak, this is finally included to add much needed health soak to the deck.

+1 Knowledge is Power -The card is good enough to justify rushing both copies, especially with the completed Forbidden Tome.

+1 Whitton Greene - While Dr. Milan Christopher's resource generation is deemed superior to Whitton Greene's tome digging (as the latter is highly situational), the extra 1 health and sanity, and the extra +1 buff, make her the superior choice. Professor Warren Rice would be discarded over either, but this was felt to not be thematic at all.

-1 Dr. Milan Christopher

-1 Perception - Draw in this deck is not in high demand, and the inclusion in the last upgrade of Survey the Area means a skill slot can be freed.

-1 Laboratory Assistant - with Forbidden Tome upgraded, and extra soak available in Whitton Greene and especially Bulletproof Vest, this card can finally be cut.
