With the release of the upgraded Blessed Blade, Parallel Zoey is now a reliable (sometimes, even overpowered) main fighter for the team.
Once she gets her essential upgrades, she can later choose to support the team by getting the OP combo of The Key of Solomon + Spirit of Humanity.
Tactics:
1.) During a critical skill test, commit Beloved, activate Favor of the Sun and Ancient Covenant to ensure that you pass the test. In most cases, you don't even need to commit Beloved as the +2 from the bless token is enough.
Use this to ensure that your hard-hitting combos (ex: Radiant Smite + Zoey's +1 damage ability + Vicious Blow hits your enemy.
2.) Use Scroll of Secrets to quickly draw your Blessed Blade, or discard your weakness, or delay drawing your weakness near the end of the scenario by putting whatever card you've drawn on top of your deck.
3.) Don't forget to use Nepthys' ability to seal bless tokens to her every time a bless token is removed from the bag due to Zoey's ability, from Favor of the Sun, or from regular skill tests (especially in 3p-4p games).
4.) You can combo The Key of Solomon with one or even two Beat Cops + Nephthys for a test less 4 damage almost every turn. (credits to @HungryColquhoun on this one)

Notes:
I've added some cards in the Side Deck that can be potentially considered but is mostly situational or for luxury.

Mar 22, 2024Happy to see a Guardian deck with bless! I will definitely recommend this deck to my fighter friends! Idea to have Nephthys cooperate with Ancient Covenant is nice! Hence no need to worry about the duplicate between Nephthys and Sacred Covenant. But unfortunately Nephthys has bad synergy with Zoey's , as FAQs explicitly state that Zoey cannot deal +1 damage if Nephthys seals these 3 . Unbelieveable, but yes. (You can check that in Nephthys's page) |
Mar 22, 2024Hi I've checked your P-Zoey deck and I think Ever Vigilant is the card that justifies the Stick to the Plan idea (along with the two E-Caches). I forgot to add Beat Cops + The Key of Solomon combo. I haven't thought much of it at first because when I played this deck, Father Mateo was the one healing with The Key but your idea makes a lot of sense. Two Beat Cops + Nepthys = Instant 4 testless damage almost every turn. Lastly, with the extra from Nepthys', I agree that Zoey can flex with clueing or even get a Brand of Cthugha for scenarios with enemies that can only be killed by a Spell. Thanks for your feedback. |
Mar 22, 2024How do you think of Rite of Sanctification? I think it beats Voice of Ra as long as it seals 2+ . And it can also boost your teammates. |
Mar 22, 2024Hi I've only tested Rite of Sanctification once and I think it's a better version of Schoffner's Catalogue. I agree that it beats Voice of Ra in reliability. I also admit that I've been playing this wrong as I always try to maximize getting 5 where 2-3 is enough. |
Nice deck! I had something similar planned but untested and unfinished (link) here if you're interested) using the Machete instead of Blessed Blade •••• and just Ancestral Token for the tokens (which with P-Zoey's ability I'd say is enough). As you can see in the deck notes I was considering Blessed Blade as well though! I hadn't quite finalised it, I think Keep Faith as a top-up is definitely a good idea.
I think the Beat Cop ••/The Key of Solomon combo is a big, big reason to run P-Zoey as it means you can just run around killing people without taking actions (especially with Nephthys). I personally went for Sixth Sense/Clairvoyance as Nephthys makes Zoey's usable (and if you're killing a lot of suckers actionlessly then it makes sense to have more to do).
I guess the bottom line is, I like it! I think you can get away without Spirit of Humanity, Parallel Zoey's ability + Ancestral Token should be enough to have a nice pile of - especially if you use Keep Faith for a burst or two. Great job!
