A half-joke deck, this aims to put Becky into play, buff it up using Reliable, Custom Ammunition, and Well Prepared, then be able to just blast enemies to bits with minimal effort.
Multiplayer only, as this deck assumes you will NOT need to discover clues, investigate, or Parlay (although, it would not be too hard to toss in some clue tech like Evidence! or Scene of the Crime if necessary)
Lower-XP versions of this deck work fine also. You just will be fighting at the base 6 which is probably good enough for the first 1-2 scenarios of any campaign.
Fully decked out, Becky allows you to shoot enemies with 8 , +1 damage, and +2 damage against Monster enemies. You can boost the bonus even higher (if desired) using Well Prepared, Beat Cop, Ace of Swords, or any other combination of things.
Because Tommy's defeated Assets shuffle back into his deck, he almost never runs of ammo on Becky. There's nothing more satisfying than taking an Attack-of-Opportunity to do any action you want, causing Brother Xavier or Guard Dog to be defeated, dealing free damage to an Enemy at your location, and reloading 3-6 Ammo onto Becky all in one action. And then drawing Brother Xavier again 2 turns later.
The only major downside to this deck is that:
- If you fail to draw Becky in your first turn after a mulligan and using Prepared for the Worst you are potentially screwed, especially if you are playing a scenario that might discard cards from the top of your deck.
- Scenarios with Asset attrition (e.g. Crypt Chill, Corrosion, Lost in Time) can remove Becky from play and cripple you.
- The Brother Xavier combo can be easily interrupted by Rookie Mistake, leaving you with no resources or ammo, so you should plan to either:
- Float 1 damage or horror on Leather Coat / Cherished Keepsake and try to draw Rookie Mistake early in the scenario
- Make sure you can kill off Brother Xavier quickly (all in one turn) to avoid the risk of him getting sent to the discard pile by Rookie Mistake (and taking all your resources/Ammo with him)!
As such, if you wanted to play this type of deck for real, you'd probably want to toss in some additional cheap Firearms like the .32 Colt or .32 Colt (2) to use as a backup strategy just in case you lose your grip on Becky

Oct 04, 2019yeah, I am still playing around with Tommy builds. I've found Backpack and Fine Clothes to also work great in the Body Slot. Brother Xavier (1) is the real MVP for Tommy - soaking 3/3 damage/horror and then refunding it to you in resources or ammo, plus dealing 2 testless damage is amazing. He also provides +1 to help deal with the Encounter Deck. There's also the option of adding Bandolier or Bandolier (2) so that you can still use Flashlight or Newspaper (2) along with Becky. |

Looks awesome!
I could see dropping the Leather Coats and Dodges for .32 Colts and .45 Automatics as back up weapons. You're probably tanky enough as it is. Maybe drop a Warning Shot as well. Those would also be my first drops for clue cards like Scene and Evidence.
