I've used Ralsar's deck as the starting point for drawing up a draft of my own - I played this on 'hard' solo yesterday, and was suitably impressed by its potency. Make no mistake: the core set investigators are all dual-class beasts: to go full Seeker for Daisy is missing out on the fact that she has access to some of the delights of the Mystic class, too. When asked what helped me get through scenario 1, I listed Shrivelling, Blinding Light, Arcane Studies & Holy Rosary, a tranch of purple - but as valuable for Daisy as Agnes Baker.

Mind over Matter is too potent for Daisy to pass up, of course, but don't be afraid of chucking it for its icons in a pinch. It's all too easy to think you're going to have an intellect power turn, when in fact sometimes what you need is your arcane studies set up for a will power play instead.

Scrying controls the pace of the game and sets the encounter deck so that you need not find a turn blown out due to an unlucky treachery. Manual Dexterity & Fearless are there to make sure you can pass tricky will or agility tests. Under all that, there's the core 'engine' (although I hesitate to use that word because it's not quite full moving parts yet) of Research Librarian & Old Book of Lore - combined, these two mean drawing during your turn (but not during upkeep) can be done as a free action (yay, Daisy) and with impunity.

A pair of 1-ofs deserve a little note. If you see the insect doctor early, so much the better for fuelling your resource economy, particularly in light of arcane plays. Barricade is a flexible card with a trio of icons - useless to commit if the game is proceeding in such a fashion that you're not going to need to lock a door...

When you know what's next from the encounter deck and can control your own deck's foibles truly you are the mistress of knowledge. And with knowledge comes great power...

I'm curious about your inclusion of manual dexterity. Can you explain why it is included? I'm guessing it runs as kind of a get out of jail card?

Hey ShadowcatX - yeah, it's there for a nasty agility test that's going to, say, move Daisy to a location she doesn't want to be. My early read of the treachery cards from the encounter deck suggested that and got tested the most, and Daisy's certainly lacking in the will department, particularly as I've opted for Arcane Studies over Hyperawareness.

Another note: in conversation with Gaffa we wondered about a couple of changes: -2 Perception for +2 Unexpected Courage - why not have the flexibility of courage? and -1 Barricade for +1 of bug-friend. Milan really is a beast of a card.
