Jimanda goes infinite
A quick guide to infinite clues/damage a turn
WARNING! Extreme degeneracy to follow, proceed at your own risk.
To infinity and beyond
The basic idea of this deck is using Summoned Hound with Inspiring Presence tucked underneath Amanda Sharpe to have infinite investigate/fight actions (as long as you keep succeeding).
Unfortunately, a big hurdle is that Amanda can't take either of those cards. TDC has provided us with a really neat solution to that problem: Transfiguration. The only investigators that can run all three of the crucial combo pieces are Jim Culver, Gloria Goldberg, Sister Mary, Diana Stanley and Lola Hayes. I picked Jim because I wanted to use A Chance Encounter to not have to deal with Unbound Beast.
Lola Hayes probably works best once you're set up since she can take A Chance Encounter (2), but it would take longer to get set up because of her larger deck unless you use Friends in Low Places to find your combo pieces.
If you don't care about dealing with the beast, Diana probably has a better card pool for this as she can take Inspiring Presence (2) and has Dark Insight to bounce the beast once.
The rest of the deck
Outside of the crucial combo pieces, most of the deck has been dedicated to card draw or improving Jimanda's awful stats. With the hound and presence tucked, you'll be making investigates at 6 and fights at 6 . Workable, but not great - especially if you want to never fail and go forever. Living Ink and St. Hubert's Key are my stat boosters of choice, bringing investigates up to 9 and fights to 8, but there are many options here since the core combo is only a handful of cards.
Scrounge for Supplies is here so you can pull your Inspiring Presence or A Chance Encounter back if something goes wrong.
Seal of the Seventh Sign is optional but the is the greatest risk so might as well take it out of consideration. You can add Sign of Xelotaph or Protective Incantation if your chaos bag has a particularly scary token you want to mitigate. Recall the Future can similarly mitigate a single scary token.
Enraptured (2) and (to a lesser extent) Enraptured go absolutely crazy when tucked under Amanda, and they can be used to fuel your Seal of the Seventh Sign and Living Ink. Call the Beyond is used for the same purpose but curses can mess with your tests so be cautious.
Read the Signs and Spectral Razor are included so you can contribute to the game before you find your combo pieces.
Once you have your engine going, the only actions you need to take are moves to get around while you're scooping up clues and doing infinite 1 damage attacks. If you fail a test while using the dog, you have to use another test to restart it, unless you have both copies out. You can use Close the Circle or Captivating Performance to get extra actions for moving or restarting your exhausted dog. Sword Cane (2) also gives a fast free action if you have an enemy to use it on.
You may need to spend some experience on Charisma if you want to run both copies of Living Ink alongside your Summoned Hound. There are other ways to get more slots like The Hierophant • V and Sign Magick, just depends what variant of the deck you are using.
Final words
Please don't play this with your friends, nobody likes watching somebody do 48 damage and get 30 clues in a single turn, one excruciating action at a time.
