Preston "I will buy my way out" Fairmont
Credit: Google Gemini
The goal of this deck was to take advantage of Preston's access to many resources. This isn't a novel idea, and I am sure there are many other very similar decks, but I wanted to create one on my own.
This deck was created for a multiplayer game where I expect another investigator to handle the majority of the fighting.
The aim is to take advantage of Well Connected and have Money Talks as a way to pass any must-pass test. From there we want to get Flashlight / Matchbox and Dig Deep and Streetwise.
This deck focuses more on gathering clues than fighting, but you do have Fire Axe just in case

The idea of this deck is to get as much money as possible to make use of Well Connected and to be able to increase your test values with Dig Deep
Try and get Dario El-Amin and Investments out early to help accumulate resources. Note that 1 of each of these resources will go on Family Inheritance because of Preston Fairmont's ability
Get Streetwise and Dig Deep out to help gets your stats up for passing tests
You will have you Fire Axe to help with some enemies but it will not be great for anything big. Rely on team mates to help with the big bads.
Money Talks is a good safety card for must pass test once your economy is built
To get clues you will be relying on Flashlight, Intel Report and Matchbox
- Look what I Found: Additional way to get clues.
- Live and Learn: Help with risky test
- Cunning: Help pass book/agility test when you have a lot of resources
I debated between Emergency Cache and Take Heart but went with Emergency Cache to get more resources.
I also considered Fox Mask and Pilfer. Pilfer could be good for getting clues fast but is on the more expensive side.
I originally had Small Favor for more damage support but swapped it for Matchbox
