Daisy is a librarian in the Know. She knows that she shouldn't get involved, but honestly, who else is going to do it? Maybe by herself she can't do it, but with her friends... (the ones with knives or powers) she knows she can make it through. Her investigator pals appreciate that she knows what is happening and how to stop it, or at least... can find out how and can even seem to manage herself, despite the monsters and evils about.

How do you play her? The short of it is to get out one of your books Old Book of Lore or Scroll of Secrets or Scroll of Prophecies and begin utilizing your free action every turn to start gaining precious value! The clock is ticking and every extra action you're able to take makes your team that much more able to tackle any scenario. You're going to want that book action too, since a lot of your time is going to be spent MOVING and INVESTIGATING. Being able to set allies like Gloria Goldberg up with some quick card search and shenanigans makes you a sensei's divining top on legs. Your books and abilities allow any investigator to find their combo, major pieces, or missing card for just this moment. You'll feel like a real damn hero, because you are!

You're going to be utilizing your crew. You will befriend the gentle yet flexible Research Librarian who will help you get your very important books (as well as activate an instance of Astounding Revelation as a wonderful bonus feature, making them essentially a free intern who will get you the book you forgot at the library!) . You better believe that Daisy is going to be Calling in Favors to save the world, and what better way for you to really make use of Astounding Revelation than having almost infinite ability to search your deck by switching out allies when practical. Practice Makes Perfect allows you find every skill in your deck, as well as activates that revelation. Whitton Greene and Dr. Milan Christopher will help you generate extra value just by being you, a top-tier clue hoover who requires little extra effort to succeed. It feels great to be able to swoop through your (or a fellow investigator's) deck and be prepared for any eventuality while moving the scenario forward with your clue grinding skills.

Crack the Case stands along side Astounding Revelation as a way to generate resources for the deck without getting too in your way and as a way to aid your fellow investigators out who are resource hungry. You will have to protect yourself at times with value cards like "Throw the Book at Them!", but you're mainly just using Deny Existence and Ward of Protection to ignore the eventual times you'll be caught alone and something treacherous occurs. If you need more money options, taking Burning the Midnight Oil will not slow down Daisy much since you are one of the investigators that do want to take that action. Getting paid to do so can be quite nice, and allows you to consider options such as Arcane Studies and later on Higher Education, or any card that allows you to spend resources for value during a skill check.

If you prefer a more mystical variant, consider adding cards such as Knowledge is Power and Shrivelling for some damage from your hand out of no where. I don't think Daisy has a high enough to really use the level 0 mystic spells for damage, but Azure Flame is also a not terrible spell to have should you have less packs to choose from and need more offensive options. Consider as well that Daisy could use the card Persuasion as a sort of option for enemy control.

You could add Down the Rabbit Hole for some value in long campaigns, since you will likely only ever be upgrading cards in general. However, if you like buying new cards and changing your deck around, you might find some adjustments of the Events list to your liking. For instance, Calling in Favors is going to become less important for cycling allies if you decide to gain Charisma or Miskatonic Archaeology Funding. You could also take extra cards like Logical Reasoning for some recovery instead. Another card to consider could be Shortcut as a movement option that costs no actions or resources to use, which is about the only kind of movement option you're going to want to add in without adjusting the deck significantly.

You have a multitude of upgrade options and choices. Even The Necronomicon is a reasonable option for you Daisy, especially when you have to "Throw the Book at Them!" (An attack at high stat value + 3 testless damage for free is really hard to pass up, even if the book costs that much). As always with this game, you are going to be hurting somewhere, the question is... where and whom are you with who can cover that. So, consider that while upgrading as you may find interesting options that Daisy may employ that don't seem to make much sense on paper but make perfect sense in the maw of the eldritch.

All that said to say this: Daisy is one of the strongest support investigators in this game, imo. She's straight forward in that her builds are pretty much tome focused. She has a significant pool of strong cards to draw from (for instance, Daisy really likes Occult Lexicon and cards such as Explosive Ward if you aren't going to be wielding spells such as this deck). Her flexibility and consistency and ability to synergize allows you to be the rock the party can build victory from. -life!
