Magazine Mark
For 4p Dream Eaters - Dream World alongside Daisy, Luke, and [mystery].
With only 3 chances to upgrade, we're looking to make a fighter that can come online quickly. This means we are going for the thematic machine gun .45 Thompson. There are some downsides to the Tommy gun, especially how many actions it takes to burn an enemy, but it does have some benefits:
- Half the XP cost of the Taboo'd Flamethrower.
- You can use the same weapon to fight big and small enemies alike, so no need for Bandolier or wasting big charges on small/middle enemies. None likes a that sits around with a flamethrower waiting for a boss while the s get eaten by rats.
- Mark can use Act of Desperation and the upgraded .45 Thompson to fund Dynamite Blast and other events and his ammo-carrying Ally.
Action Economy
All those shots will cost Mark a lot of actions, so we need to make us some action economy. Safeguard is an amazing card, the upgrade is huge, not only can you move multiple times, but you move with the ally instead of after, meaning when Daisy walks into a location with an enemy, Mark gets to engage it. Now Shortcut can be used on your seeker, granting two free moves.
Bonus damage for odd-health enemies will come from Dynamite Blast, and Beat Cop. Practice Makes Perfect will hopefully let us get a couple uses out of Vicious Blow or The Home Front.
Upgrades
Pretty standard upgrades here: Upgrade your gun, then your Ally, then your consistency items like Stick to the Plan and Ever Vigilant. Add Shortcut's priority changes based whether you need the actions more or the consistency.
From there pick your favorite way to add damage: #dyn, Vicious Blow, Extra Ammunition, etc.
