Strategy
As a specialized Guardian, your mission is to clean up from enemies the way to the clues. Then your collegues can do their jobs.
Your strategy is to have always in play two weapons, hitting non stop. To posibilite this, you need a Bandolier for an extra hand space for a weapon.
Don't worry about the cost of your deck: 55 resources. Zoey always have enough resources, and 2x Emergency Cache can help if you need.
Use the Baseball Bat as soon as you can. Cause you have 6 major weapons don't need to reserve them.
Knife is a minor weapon. Throw it to the enemies and gain one-shot-baseball-bat (discard, +2 combat, +1 damage).
Remember use and exhaust Zoey's Cross every time an enemy engage you: it's free! Your ability is to gain one resource every time that happens… and immediately can pay for the Zoey's Cross use.
Mulligan
For your first hand your target must be go for the Bandolier. If don't appears on your first five cards, discard all of them but just one ally + the Zoey's Cross + the top major weapon (the Baseball Bat or, later, the Lightning Gun).
Evolution
First must convert your 2x Blackjack in 2x Machete.
Then go without any pause for 2x Lightning Gun (5) and 2x Extra Ammunition (1), sacrificing 2x .45 Automatic and discarting Unexpected Courage and Hard Knocks.
At this moment Zoey will suffer some wounds. Good idea to buy 2x First Aid leaving by the way the old 2x Knife.
Finally evolutions of 2x Vicious Blow to 2x Vicious Blow (2), and 2x Beat Cop to 2x Beat Cop (2).
