Unlike other investigators Sefina isn't grounded in mundane reality. She is an artist that lives in a reality of her own making. She is known to indulge in the better things of life. Using her feminine wiles she take what she wants. Sefina isn't academic type she just stumbles on the answers everyone is looking for. With her bestie she will plunge into the horrors of the lovecraft universe. Hopefully this madness isn't over her head.

I have chosen to make Sefina a in spite of looking like a

Every skill check will be dictated on alone while not relying on silly charges. Sixth Sense replaces , Wither replaces , and Suggestion replaces . Arcane Initiate lets you find the spells and Sign Magick lets you use them all.

With all skills transferred to Sefina will boost hers with Holy Rosary and Four of Cups (Reminder Sefina draws 13 cards on her first hand making Four of Cups far more likely to come out for free.) Also having a very high and access to cards Liquid Courage is a must.

In spite of being a rounded deck I decided to double down on one mechanic. Running away. With the base stat of 4 on both and Suggestion on Sefina is incredible as a baseline before any boosts. For good measure she will also wear a Trench Coat. The MASSIVE check means she will most likely succeed by 2 or more..(Should you ever fail running out of charges on Suggestion does not stop you from using it. Even without charges the action will still function unlike other spells.) and Suggestion is technically a "evade" ability meaning she can pick pocket them, smoke a cigarette and come up with a new plan all while not using a single charge.

Lets not forget about Sefina's main power Painting the world.

The Painted World + Sneak Attack = smashing the does she exhausted with Suggestion

The Painted World + Eldritch Inspiration = a guaranteed success with Sixth Sense or Wither

The Painted World + Deny Existence or Ward of Protection = avoiding treachery cards

Most importantly of all for those of you that like high risk high reward games

The Painted World + Delve Too Deep

In a theoretically best case game Sefina can play Delve Too Deep 5x. That is if your team can handle it....

Rulings

All lasting effects and/or delayed effects affecting the card while it was in play expire for that card.

Unfortunately this The Painted World does copy Delve Too Deep however it will become a normal non copy of it the moment it leaves the game and enters the victory display. It still isn't an awful place to keep the store your Delve to Deep. Just in case it is ever useful.

Delve gets added to the victory display after you play it, so I tend to doubt that it would work. I realise that Painted World is a played as a copy of the card under Sefina, but would it then remain in the victory display as a copy of that card ? That strikes me as implausible. I mean, if you play it as a copy of another card then cycle through your deck and draw it again it doesn't come out as that same card, it goes back to being Painted World.

I had the same thought. Here is the way I saw the card interactions.

The Painted World enters as a copy of Delve Too Deep As part of the text of Delve to Deep "Then, add Delve Too Deep to the victory display." So under Arkham TCG "The victory display is an out-of-play game area shared by all players." This card mechanically should be moved outside of the game before resolving the second mechanic of "Remove The Painted World from the game instead of discarding it." Becasue the card is already outside of the game we can not continue to resolve it's mechanic therefore it is still a complete copy of Delve to Deep.

Honestly we need an official ruling considering the totally strange interactions of these cards.

You can check the page for The Painted World, it alreayd has an FAQ clarification on the interaction. It goes to the victory display as a copy, but once it resolves it ceases to be a copy of Delve (just as it ceases to be a copy of any card when it hits the discard pile). So you can add Painted World to the victory display, but you'd get no points by doing so.

Huh didn't see that ruling (should have looked under both cards). Leaves Play "All lasting effects and/or delayed effects affecting the card while it was in play expire for that card." I... totally understand and respect this ruling...

Honestly I want to dispute it for logical reasons however the ruling is as fair and correct as it cold possibly be to the rules as written.
