...or is it a Grappling Hammer? emoticone.png

This deck is largely inspired by 100% Guaranteed | HC 1K Series. Credits to HungryColquhoun for showcasing the combo that guarantees finding Cyclopean Hammer very early. My version adds a few Drowned City cards to the mix, most notably Dakota Garofalo and On Their Heels which offer strong synergy with the hammer while reinforcing the hunter theme that defines Zoey’s playstyle.

The idea is simple: since Cyclopean Hammer does not require the destination location to be revealed, you can push an enemy into the fog of war, then immediately follow with Dakota Garofalo. In effect, this turns the hammer into the coolest Grappling Hook, pulling you straight toward your objective.

Doing so also unlocks a chain of free triggers. For example, against a 3-4 health enemy, you can:

Note that Zoey’s ability has no once-per-turn limit so engaging the same enemy twice in a turn grants 2 resources, and also replenishes Wolf Mask twice.

Reliable, Wolf Mask and Well Prepared each provide +2 skill value for your hammer attacks, helping you consistently hit the breakpoint for 3 damage.

Well Prepared also adds flexibility, boosting you to a comfortable 6 to handle treacheries or investigate with Eyes of the Dreamer.

Dakota Garofalo’s stat boost is situationnal, but you have some control over enemy selection with On the Hunt(3) and "Where's the party?".

Eyes of the Dreamer and On Their Heels provide solid clue support.

Economy is covered by Emergency Cache, Stand Together, On the Hunt(3) and Ever Vigilant(4).

Card draw is covered by Glory, "Where's the party?" and Ready for Anything

Additional damage is provided by Vicious Blow, Hunter's Mark, Galvanize, Zoey's Cross and On Their Heels.

Finally, Righteous Hunt serves as tech against Smite the Wicked and synergizes with the deck's core combo.

This is all very nice, but it still fails to address the most important question raised by this deck: which sounds better, Cyclopean Hook or Grappling Hammer?
