This is my rough draft of a Charlie Kane standalone deck that focuses on Creatures/Rod of Animalism for ArkhamCon. Figure that would allow me to lean into allies without stepping on toes for named characters with a group I don't know. Eventually this will be reskinned with Pokemon artwork, but for now I need to finalize the actual deck build. Current ideas are:
Easy Mark, Take Heart - resources and churning through deck. A Chance Encounter, Calling in Favors, Friends in Low Places - all digging for allies. Cheat the System, Call for Backup - take advantage of the range of classes in play. Summoned Hound, Eye of the Djinn - ignore low stats for a test, both giving two high tests per turn.
Looking at my current lineup, might drop a Charisma to upgrade Guard Dog. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Familiar Spirit is there for Mystic presence for the various synergy cards. With that said, a second copy of Mystic Hound would also fit that bill. I have another draft that I am working on that includes Flare for that exact reason. Tetsuo Mori would be a good inclusion but I specifically am aiming to avoid popular named characters so it doesn't interfere with other players' decks. Also they would absolutely be an Officer Jenny. If anyone is going to be Oak it would be Dr. Milan. ;) |
Cool idea.
I would put another Summoned Hound in (because it's so good in Charlie) and Flare as another tutor (and way to cheese the Hound into play).
Professor OakTetsuo Mori helps getting your key assets back if something happens to them (or tutors for them).I don't think all the allies benefit you (why Familiar Spirit?), btw.
