Introduction

At the early stage of the game, the majority of new players pick Jenny as their first investigator. And they were mostly a bit disappointed about here, because she could somehow handle everything in theory, but needs some extra efforts for this and often it is just not worth it. As for me, she was just very boring to play. The idea of this deck is to make her an ultimate generalist investigator, while playing experience is more interesting than ever. At this point, the deck is nothing but a theory crafting and I hope to read your thoughts about it.

Deck Staples and Core Mechanic

The deck provides an ability to jump from 0 to 3 resources withing a turn with no action wasted and to burn these resources immediately to benefit from Dark Horse boost.

Dark Horse brings your stats to lovely and pleasant 4-4-4-4. But being Rogue you'd like to have an ability to play some of your not the cheapest assets. Combination of Lone Wolf and her character ability allows to generate 3 resource/turn to pay for Leo De Luca in 2 turns (or even faster if you burn these 3 resources on successful skill test with "Watch this!"). If you need not to risk being at lower stats at any point of the game, Dark Horse allows not to take resources in the end of upkeep phase at all and Lone Wolf's ability is optional as well. Or just let Sacrificial Beast limit your resourse gain.

Another combination, this time to boost your stats during mythos phase treachery test, is to generate resource during your turn with your last action that requires a test (with Lone Wolf if you don't take tests at all, or by shooting a monster with Mauser C96), gain two resources during upkeep and burn all 3 resources you have with action of Green Man Medallion before the skill test of a treachery card during Mythos Phase. "Watch this!" also works fine for burning resources to apply Dark Horse boost.

And, of course, your first upgrade will be Geas. That's why you don't have card draw engine in your deck (you will promise not to draw cards). Being at 5-5-5-5 for all stats means a real ultimate generalist investigator.

Opening hand

You definitely need mulligan hard for Dark Horse and Leo De Luca. Later as well for Geas. Your 2nd priority is any weapon and Lone Wolf.

Possible upgrades

I haven't tested it yet. Hard to say what it really lacks and what should be upgraded first without testing, but I was making this deck with Charisma and x2 Chuck Fergus in mind. Upgraded Sneak Attack and Pilfer looks pretty solid with Chuck. Later I would bring even more fun with Double, Double. The Gold Pocket Watch also looks like a nice option here.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I'm reminded of this decklist here: arkhamdb.com

@mattastrophicoh, cool. High Roller is an interesting choice here, didn't think about it. I'm curious what else you can suggest now, with the larger card pool and your experience of running the deck of the similar concept.

Off the top of my head, anything that lets you spend resources at will works here, like High Roller, Watch This!, Lola Santiago, Delilah O'Rourke, Hard Knocks, Streetwise, and Moxie. Faustian Bargain is also great for bursting up to five resources from zero in order to afford assets.

Any way to dig out your Dark Horse or your Geas is also pretty great. Unfortunately, Rogue doesn't have a lot of these beyond Lucky Cigarette Case level 3, though.

Though I see the usefulness of the Green Man Medallion to dump resources at will, in my experience the Sacrificial Beast is such a pain to deal with at 4-fight and 3-health.
