having an ally that can help you draw cards is very helpful since your draw power is limited to Drawing Thin. A useful combo with Drawing Thin is Track Shoes. Whenever you move you get a free skill test with Track Shoes which you use Drawing Thin to fail at, this can further be added to Safeguard. when an ally moves you trigger Safeguard which triggers Track Shoes which you Drawing Thin as much as possible. this will net you two instances of gain 2 resources or draw a card. very powerful with no XP investment.
