This deck was built with the intention of finding a use for Old Shotgun. Perhaps thematically, the deck suffers from an abundance of expensive assets and a lack of meaningful resource generation, so you'll be somewhat dependent on your allies for support in the books/cash department. A Clue-driven Bob Jenkins probably combos really well with this.

Carson has a pretty weak statline but will make up for it with combos like Daring or Rise to the Occasion plus Shotgun.

Stay close to your employer (whoever is lead investigator) and if you're particularly good friends with them you can swap the Emergency Cache out for a Teamwork to help keep the old butler flush with cash.

The deck starts with 0 xp and In the Thick of It, but save that 3 xp for your first upgrades when you can swap in 2x Old Shotgun for the .45 Thompson and add Stick to the Plan. You'll want to pack One in the Chamber and Extra Ammunition as well as a 3rd card of your choice under Stick to the Plan.

With the supply cards plus Venturer, and Cleaning Kit, you should have an easy enough time keeping the shotguns loaded so you can drop 3-6 damage in a single shot on your enemies. This butler doesn't clue very well at all, so try to focus on keeping your employer safe from eldritch nasties.

He may need to pack his Fighting Trousers. Or possibly the Time-Travel trousers for certain scenarios.
