This build is primarily focused on making pushing Daisy’s intellect up to 6, allowing her to search basically every location in the game with impunity, then supplementing that with the ability to aid her allies. Anatomical Diagrams and “I’ve got a plan!” can help support your allies in combat, while Logical Reasoning and Medical Texts can help keep them on their feet. Finally, Old Book of Lore will aid you and your friends in finding the right tool for the situation at hand.

Books and support cards can be expensive, however. That’s why Dr. Milan Christopher is the centrepiece of the deck; he provides an absurd amount of value for his cost, and will ensure you have a great economy for the remainder of the game. Use this investigation based income to fuel all of your great support cards, as well as your own Hyperawareness, should you have it out.

Both Strange Solution and Archaic Glyphs are relatively easy to solve, allowing you access to powerful upgrades early on, and you should aim to “Discover the solution” and “Translate the glyphs” as soon as you can. Once you do, I’d probably upgrade them to Acidic Ichor and Guiding Stones respectively. The former turns you into an absolute killing machine, while the latter takes your investigative skills to a whole other level. Before all those upgrades, however, be sure to pick up Higher Education, which is far and away the most powerful upgrade in the game. It synergises particularly well with Guiding Stones, allowing you to turn resources into clues at effectively a 1 to 1 rate (assuming there are enough left on the location). Book of Shadows (Level 1) is a way to just keep this engine going and going. Being a tome, you even get a free action to use it! Pathfinder and Encyclopaedia are nice additions you can pick up along the way, but don’t feel they’re necessary in any way.

If you don’t wish to go for the Strange Solutions or Ancient Glyphs paths, you can swap them out for emergency cards like Mind over Matter, or even for some other support cards like Scrying (especially in lower player counts) or Clarity of Mind. Storm of Spirits is a cheeky inclusion and an alternative to a single copy of “I’ve got a plan!”. Once you have Higher Education, this becomes a reliable two damage nuclear bomb, which has the bonus of being absolutely AWESOME!
