The crux of this deck is using a weapon with limited uses, Act of desperation, and William Yorick's ability for easy recharging of powerful weapons. Resourceful can get you the Act of Desperation back allowing you to do it repeatedly and pump out 2 damage attacks with some consistency.

Grete Wagner allows for fringe clue gathering when needed, along with Evidence and Shovel. Far from a clue gatherer but can get a couple in a pinch. The shovel can be swapped out but I personally like it since it can be recycled with Yorick's ability if needed and as AOD fodder

Yorick can sometimes get stuck without resources. AOD helps in itself, but Madame Labranche is also a lifesaver in this case as you tend to be low resources. Emergency Cache helps for obvious reasons

Leather Coat, Guard Dog, and Bandages allow Yorick to pump out damage while tanking a ton passively. Cherished Keepsake helps eat some sanity but he is still vulnerable to large horror output.

With 4 allies you want to stick around, early charisma feels like a must.

Test of Will with Guts is solid encounter protection and becomes more reliable if you upgrade to things like Bandolier.

Plenty of items and with an emergency cache, the backpack can get some items for you, and you can replace it to dump them and get them back with Yorick anyways

As far as upgrades: Vicious Blow is good for big burst turns and Emergency Cache for card draw helps with consistency.

Cards to replace: Shovel can easily be swapped out for a big gun like the Old Rifle, later on, assuming you have a dedicated clue gatherer it would be better to have the blade as a backup. Turning Leather Coat into Bandolier for the extra will is also good. If you can afford it, a keepsake into a Key of Ys goes amazingly with Yorick, as the downside isn't even that bad for him. Relic hunter can be helpful as the Hallowed Mirror can help keep the Key up and is generally a really good heal.
