After running a few scenarios, I have attempted to configure Jim to have strong investigation options. Important to point out he will be travelling with a fully tooled-up Mark Harrigon. Comments welcome! (Disclaimer, first deck building attempt.)

Overall I'd say it's pretty solid.

Hand slots might be slightly too busy, could swap out Ritual Candles for something else, or just plan to slap a second Grotesque Statue in there instead. (Ps: did you mean to include the Grotesque Statue from the Jacqueline Fine starter deck? It seems like the rest of your deck is just Dunwich+Core cards).

I would swap Manual Dexterity for Guts, 2 base Agility is just beyond salvaging and I'd rather just not try to cover it at all. There aren't that many Agility treacheries in most campaigns, Jim has a respectable base 7 health, and you can always save your Wards for them. You could swap the Ritual Candles for Leather Coat in particular if you're worried about health. Meanwhile Guts is a big help when using your spells on high Fight enemies or high shroud locations, where the consequences of failing can be rather large.

You're not using 2 of your offclass slots, so consider putting in something generically helpful like Lone Wolf or Deductions or Shortcuts. I'm not sure the deck as-is is really wealthy enough to support Arcane Studies or Hypnotic Gaze, it has a fairly expensive loadout and needs to replace its spells every so often as well.

You could consider using the Path to Carcosa card St. Hubert's key over Holy Rosary. Both have their upsides and downsides.

Excellent - many thanks for the feedback - I'll make some changes and have another look ...
