This particular deck is intended to be played as a component of a larger group; I play Zoe alongside Rex Murphy, Jim Culver, and Jenny Barnes. Zoe is a highly efficient combat character who generates resources as she engages opponents. This deck is designed to use those resources to fuel a wealth of events to help keep your party alive. This version of Zoe is highly specialized, you should rarely, if ever, investigate (which means you won’t see cards like Rite of Seeking). Spend your actions getting out your weapons, exploring, taking encounter/scenario specific actions that would otherwise slow down your team mates (like breaking down doors), and most importantly smiting the enemies of God. Initially, you want to mulligan for a weapon. Stand Together and one of your allies also make for strong initial draws. Once you get a strong set of initial tools, you want to hoard your cards and resources for dealing with large numbers of enemies. You want to use your machete when you can engage with a single enemy, and save your bullets for situations with multiple enemies or when you cannot afford to spend an action to engage. Don’t be afraid to engage multiple enemies, even if it means taking a round of brutal punishment, if it allows your allies to get out of a tight situation. Cards like elusive can allow you to get out of a jam yourself, (ideally followed with dynamite) or to track down enemies spawned by your weakness.
