This is a strongly thematic deck for playing Roland as a cop. He has all of the tools of the trade and allies that you would expect, including a disposable partner (Beat Cop) and K-9 unit (Guard Dog). Dr. Milan is standing by in the crime lab with some much-needed resources in a pinch.

For clues, Roland relies mostly on test-less cards and his special ability, but Flashlight and Fingerprint Kit are there when we need them.

Playing as a cop is super fun! Roland has a access to a lot of strongly thematic cards. It's really satisfying to Handcuff a perp, then Interrogate him to get clues.

When we have some left-over resources, we can pump our Physical Training and Hyperawareness, which we learned at the Police Academy.

Blackjack isn't that great; it's here mostly for the theme. Machete is a stronger choice but until we get a police baton, Blackjack is the closest thing we have.

I haven't seen very many new Roland builds so I wanted to give him some of the great new cards from The Circle Undone.

Upgrades:
Police Badge, flavor win.

Police firepower like Shotgun, upgraded .45, maybe Flamethrower (for the fun factor). Replace Blackjack with any of these.

In the Know - get clues from anywhere.

Stick to the Plan - have your favorites ready at the start of each scenario.

Bulletproof Vest - Flavor win but Elder Sign Amulet is a smarter choice given Roland's low willpower.

Looking forward to The Agency, a new Guardian ally asset upcoming in TCU campaign.

I mostly play solo so that's what this deck is geared towards. In multi-player, you can lean more heavily into the Guardian card pool.

I really like the flavour of the deck. But I think you missed a very important point: You are only a true detective, if you are wearing a Trench Coat . You should add one or two to the deck. :-)

Trench coat gets style points, for sure!
